One of my biggest frustrations with them is that they're constantly told (by the people who tell them what to think) that they are somehow naturally more gifted at economics, capitalism and markets. And, of course, they believe it. Yet all they've managed to do since Reagan said "government is the problem" is completely misapply capitalism and open the ******* door for the very same socialists they're so ******* terrified of.

This has been my freakin' profession for 20+ years, and I don't even discuss it any more with them. It's depressing. Nowhere does Trumpian arrogant ignorance identify itself more vividly than with economics, capitalism and markets.
