The Nine Days

Right now, we are in the midst of the Nine Days. Jews, at this time, cannot listen to music, get haircuts or eat meat. This is why there have been so many Israeli soldiers who have died. Next Tuesday is Tisha B'Av (the fast day commemorating the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem in 70 AD). May G-d instead grant us victory on Tisha B'Av. The soldiers in Israel are doing their part in this fight of Good (Israel) vs. Evil (Hamas). Let all of us, Jews and Christians, do our part in praying during this time, and doing acts of charity and kindness. (Remember that all the Christians were expelled from Mosul last week and Jonah's Tomb was blown up. Jonah was sent by G-d to warn the Gentiles of Assyria to repent.) May the military and spiritual components unite to defeat the forces of Darkness. May this be the Will of G-d. Amen.

It's hearbreaking to see the faces of the brave Israeli soldiers whose lives were cut short @ 19 or 20. Remember, my fellow Jews and those Christians of good conscience--pray, give charity (tzedaka), and keep posting on these Boards. If we're not fighting in the trenches, we must at least do our part.
