If you don’t know what intermittent fasting is, you aren’t doing it.

It won’t be the kind of support group where you can say hey I feel like eating before the time and we will rally around you. More like a group to share your successes and failures.

I let up to it for a couple of weeks by just delaying eating as long as possible on the day. Then I started seven hours from 9 PM to noon and this week. I’m doing eight hours 9 PM to 1 PM.

Written research that showed you can build muscle while intermittent fasting. In fact, one claim that intermittent fasting releases growth hormones that helps muscle screw.

I’m in my early 60s, and I realize I need to get in better shape before I hit my late 60s or I will slide downhill quickly.

Saturday is my cheat day, but I’m having a hard time not making Sunday day also. Much easier to be disciplined at work.

I thought about it when my A1C went up and I needed to make some changes, but the nutritionist my doc sent me to talked me out of it. She gave me a meal plan with no more than 50 carbs per meal....breakfast, lunch and dinner.....cut out all juice and cokes....since October I have lost 47 pounds and dropped a point on the A1C to 5.5. So I only look at the carb count, eat an apple in the afternoon.

I did low carb once and it was very successful. A steady two pounds per week, from low 240’s to low 170’s. I shot for zero carbs other than spinach and salad greens.

If the intermittent fasting doesn’t work out, I’ll go right back to it

My goal is 185, starting close to where you did at 240. I think I can stay there or if I fluctuate, it will be only in the high 180s or low 190s instead of balooning over 200.
And really, staying under 40-50 carbs a meal is not hard for me.

Well, good luck!
