We have a certain poster that mentions 'The Hamas Charter' on many threads. I decided to investigate.

I found a Hamas "Covenant" from 1988 from Yale's site which is the one we have seen posted here many times: The Avalon Project : Hamas Covenant 1988

I am not sure where this document comes from or who wrote it. Does anyone know?

It talks about the Islamic Resistance Movement and a struggle against the zionist invaders that goes back to 1939. They hold the zionists responsible for undermining society, destroying values and corrupting consciences through an over representation in the media, an idea not only held by Hamas. It acknowledges the zionist plan for Eretz Israel which they see as the real goal of the zionist regime.

And it says: "The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him." This, as they continue is due to the: "Jews' usurpation of Palestine..."

Does the actual document say (killing the Jews) or did the Yale editor throw that in? Does anyone know where this came from or if there is an original?

It continues: "In their Nazi treatment, the Jews made no exception for women or children. Their policy of striking fear in the heart is meant for all. They attack people where their breadwinning is concerned, extorting their money and threatening their honour. They deal with people as if they were the worst war criminals. Deportation from the homeland is a kind of murder." And: "We should not forget to remind every Moslem that when the Jews conquered the Holy City in 1967, they stood on the threshold of the Aqsa Mosque and proclaimed that "Mohammed is dead, and his descendants are all women.""

And then I came across a story about a new charter, released just this year from this Jewish source: Hamas presents new charter supporting Palestinian state along 1967 borders

They agree to a free Palestine based on the 1967 map which is a huge concession in their eyes and they clarify their position on Jews and zionists. While they refuse to recognize the legitimacy of the zionist entity, they affirm that their conflict is with the "Zionist project not with the Jews because of their religion."

Palestine is a land that was seized by a racist, anti-human and colonial Zionist project...

Catastrophes... cannot erase the identity of the Palestinian people nor can they negate it...

Hamas in 2017: The document in full

I realize the zionists hate international law, especially regarding right of return, but the updated version sounds pretty reasonable, yes? Are the zionists willing to commit to the '67 map? Do they want two states like they tell the world?

Translation ... I went back to my handler for some more cut-and-pastes to deal with this threat to the final solution.

Another Arab lie. Hamas has also stated they would agree to a 10 year truce which is not a “ peace agreement” They also know “ Right of Return” will eventually annex Israel to any Palestinian State. Prior to 67 Jordan was supposed to let the Israelis have access to their Holy Sites but of course refused. Please show us where the Palestinians conceded Israel has those Rights if they evacuated E. Jerusalem. There will be no response. There never is.

Alas, whilst the new 'charter' goes some way to removing the hatred for Jews it is still an article of non debate and still makes some claims that are virtually impossible to achieve, even with negotiations, it would be near impossible to achieve everything written in the new 'charter'.

Take the support of the '67 'borders' as just one example...

“Hamas advocates the liberation of all of Palestine but is ready to support the state on 1967 borders without recognising Israel or ceding any rights” - Khaled Meshal

Just how would that work exactly? A border with a country that isn't recognised?

There have been far too many 'mistakes' by Palestinian leaders over the years, still are. It is time for Hamas to step aside, Fatah too if necessary, and bring in a leadership that is prepared to think clearly, logically, without simply considering their own agenda above all others, to the exclusion of all others.

I don't think that it is helpful for Israel to have dismissed the new 'charter' before it was fully released. Kind of indicates that Israel has zero interest in trying to work for a solution.

Doesn't look like all that hatred is working out to well for you abi. Why not do some actual research and learn a little something about a topic before you just start shooting rockets from the hip LOL

Hamas committed to the '67 map in their charter. If the zionists and Palestinians agree, a simple treaty could solve that issue.

“Hamas advocates the liberation of all of Palestine but is ready to support the state on 1967 borders without recognising Israel or ceding any rights” - Khaled Meshal
As a point of fact, the Palestinians have recognized Israel twice now. Once in 1988 and again on the White House lawn in 1993.

Israel should be” grateful” that Hamas new stance is that their goal is no longer Israel’s destruction? Lol. In prior “ negotiations” Israel proposed to leave MOST of E. Jerusalem and most of the W. Bank leaving a small percentage of Jewish territories. Of course it was rejected. Hamas has stated that eventually their goal is to destroy Israel from the inside and annex it to any future Palestinian State. You and Hamas have zero interest in trying to work out a solution

Hamas in Their Own Words

Hamas in Their Own Words

Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas administration in the Gaza Strip commenting on the killing of Osama Bin Laden, May 2, 2011

"We regard this as a continuation of the American policy based on oppression and the shedding of Muslim and Arab blood…We condemn the assassination and the killing of an Arab holy warrior. We ask God to offer him mercy with the true believers and the martyrs."

Sermon delivered by 'Atallah Abu Al-Subh, former Hamas minister of culture, which aired on Al-Aqsa TV, April 8, 2011

"Whoever is killed by a Jew receives the reward of two martyrs, because the very thing that the Jews did to the prophets was done to him.

"The Jews are the most despicable and contemptible nation to crawl upon the face of the Earth, because they have displayed hostility to Allah.

"Allah will kill the Jews in the hell of the world to come, just like they killed the believers in the hell of this world.

"The Jews kill anyone who believes in Allah. They do not want to see any peace whatsoever on Earth.

Hamas official Halil Al-Hayya, Al-Hayat newspaper, November 11, 2010

"Palestine is Islamic, and not an Islamic emirate, from the river to the sea, that unites the Palestinians. Jews have no right in it, with the exception of those who lived on the land of Palestine before World War I."

Hamas leader Mahmoud Al-Zahhar, Future News TV, June 15, 2010

"Our plan for this stage is to liberate any inch of Palestinian land, and to establish a state on it. Our ultimate plan is [to have] Palestine in its entirety. I say this loud and clear so that nobody will accuse me of employing political tactics. We will not recognize the Israeli enemy. "

[The Great Within the Small and reprinted in 1905. A copy of this is in the British Museum bearing the date of its reception, August 10, 1906. All copies that were known to exist in Russia were destroyed in the Kerensky regime, and under his successors the possession of a copy by anyone in Soviet land was a crime sufficient to ensure the owner's of being shot on sight. The fact is in itself sufficient proof of the genuineness of the Protocols. The Jewish journals, of course, say that they are a forgery, leaving it to be understood that Professor Nilus, who embodied them in a work of his own, had concocted them for his own purposes.

Mr. Henry Ford, in an interview published in the New York WORLD, February 17th, 1921, put the case for Nilus tersely and convincingly thus:

"The only statement I care to make about the PROTOCOLS is that they fit in with what is going on. They are sixteen years old, and they have fitted the world situation up to this time. THEY FIT IT NOW."
The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion.

You clearly have some reading issues...

Please let me know if you wish me to translate my post into another language for you.

As a point of fact, the Palestinians have recognized Israel twice now. Once in 1988 and again on the White House lawn in 1993.

Can you please provide links where Hamas has recognised Israel in the years that you have stated.

Protocols have been found to be a fraud and a forgery. Next?

We have a certain poster that mentions 'The Hamas Charter' on many threads. I decided to investigate.

I found a Hamas "Covenant" from 1988 from Yale's site which is the one we have seen posted here many times: The Avalon Project : Hamas Covenant 1988

I'm not a whit interested in Ancient "charters" when we have the MODERN political platform of Hamas laid out in front of us. THAT --- is the only thing that currently matters. If someone dredged up a Dem Party Platform from the 80s -- it would be UNRECOGNIZABLE to most Dem party members today.

Here's the platform that Hamas ran on in the FINAL AND LAST PA elections.

Israel is not in a position to give Hamas any legitimacy.
Hamas is aligned with Iran and Qatar, it would be a great betrayal of our Arab partners.

The players in the middle east are choosing sides between those who want normalization versus the radicals.

The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement indicates it is a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. It more than likely came out of Egyptian MB although it's final version could very well have been written by Sheikh Ahmad Yassin. No. Nobody threw additional text in there. It was first published in August of 1988.
