The FBI show tonight was one that depicts what is happening to us now. It brought to mind the blind belief that occurs when a true con artist addresses a need and then gives you a target (of his choice) to go after. How it blinds people to what is real and what is fake.

I do not know if the show was meant to bring to mind Trump and his supporters but in watching it, that is what it did to me exactly.

Evidently this show cannot (and will not) be used as any kind of official and legal proof of what Trump and his supporters are doing but it was truly entertaining and relatable to, and I enjoyed it more than any other episode of the show FBI ever watched.

I've noticed that the Dick Wolf franchises have been drifting left for a while. Mariska Hargitay took L&O SVU off the rails some time ago. The FBI shows haven't been too bad but they are definitely on the liberal side. I still like the Chicago shows though.

Most shows on TV are based on some "real life" moments. If they weren't, then they would be labeled Science Fiction or Fantasy.

Normally the shows are not about a particular event because if they were, they would be labeled "a documentary" and that means that they normally do not point to a specific event. Nonetheless, human nature is a great topic for a show because we all live with human nature and we all would like to know more about human nature and what makes humans do what they do.

This particular episode of FBI deals with how people can sometimes become cult members (like the Jonestown cult where 915 committed suicide because their leader said they should) and since that is real life, we would all like to understand what makes a human become a cult member.

In addition, cult leaders are often con artists that understand human nature and for their own benefit will con people so they believe in them blindly.

This episode was about a con artist that sold an idea through online social media that children were being abducted by pedophiles and held inside of a monument) and because people love children and hate pedophiles (by nature), he got over 7,000 people to sign up to his page and follow his instructions, which were to go after these pedophiles. To do that, he was selling them tools and subscriptions and they were buying them.

It was all lies that the con man was giving but he was making money off of his lies.

As such, it was likely a program so that people could relate to Trump (being a con man and selling ideas and products that favor him personally) and his supporters that blindly believed those lies and acted on them (bought the products and attacked the government people (the owners of the monuments and the police defending the attacks).

This is what is happening now in true life. The episode was not specifically about Trump and his supporters but it certainly was a replica of what is happening all around us now.
