In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in their own sight. (Judges 21:25)

A theme repeated four times in judges is there was no king. It was rather a chaotic time, and here, repeated twice, is that everyone decided what was right for himself. Can the chaos in our own times, in our own individual life, also be attributed to everyone decides what is right for him/herself? Is this the best design for living?

The Bible is so amazing. Yes, you are correct. That's where we are. Come soon, Lord Jesus

God got fed up with all this "everyone doing what is right in his own eyes" nonsense. In Ezechiel the prophet says that God is about to destroy X number of cities, Jewish cities because they had gone over to the pagan gods (demons) and non-Jewish cities because they gloated at the fate of the Jewish cities...

Then all those cities were indeed destroyed as per the prophet of God...

But everyone these days seems to want to extirpate these stories out of their Christian walk... even their Bibles (which parts they don't like are ignored)-- these stories of God's wrath. Well, you'd have to toss out the entire Old Testament and many parts of the New to totally write these stories off... but hey,

everything has to be Happy Happy Happy, doesn't it? that's the message society sends... Be happy, don't worry....

which many believe all the way to Hell...
