Odanny and I have been touting the benefits of dead hang. Here is an article on why that something so simple can be so beneficial for you.

My doctor told me don't do situps. If I want to work on my abs or core, just do these

Yep planks are great! Bar hangs and modified pull ups have kept my back and shoulders loose so I can still play a good game of golf.
A year ago I gained a lot of weight. I didn't connect the dots but my right knee was bad. I couldn't walk up a step with my right knee. I had to kind of grab the rail and hop. A guy at work suggested it could be the added weight I put on from a sickness I had. The medicine I was taking made it hard to lose weight. Anyways, I lost 30 lbs recently and suddenly my knee doesn't hurt that bad anymore. Maybe now I can play pickelball. LOL

Dead hangs not only great for spinal decompression but also a great way to build grip strength.

Why does grip strength matter? Doctors did a study with thousands of participants and determined that it is a better indicator of longevity than blood pressure.

I started doing passive hangs (dead hangs) and active hangs, where you hold a position while raising up slightly. I couldn't believe the benefits, and now can't believe the benefits of daily pull ups.

Looks kind of boring. You just hang there? That’s it?
