1. Some time ago I was in Israel, and I took a cab from Eilat into Jordan. A cab.
No checkpoints, no soldiers. I wanted to see the fabled stone city of Petra, buildings carved out of the cliffs, abandoned now, but truly amazing.

2. Flew into Egypt, to see the Pyramids, the Valley of the Kings, amazed at how populous Cairo is....at rush hour buses jammed, people hanging onto the windows from outside and letting go when the buses stopped, hopping back to hang on again when they started up. No crime to see, one could walk out at night, wearing jewelry......

How Beirut was once known as the Paris of the Middle East ...

Beirut was once widely known as the "Paris of the Middle East" due to its vibrant culture, cosmopolitan atmosphere, and elegant architecture, particularly before the Lebanese Civil War.

The first time I was there I missed out on visiting Beirut, and by the second time, war had ended that possibility.

4 Tel Aviv has the most amazing beaches.

And I found a Korean restaurant there, too

Kimchi*s - Authentic Korean Cuisine

Korean restaurant

Jerusalem is, of course, amazing and inspiring.

5. Gaza has that same Mediterranean coastline that Tel Aviv has.....and it could be quite an attraction.....minus HAMAS

I would love to see a peaceful and prosperous Iran. Did you know that it once has the largest Jewish population of the Arab countries.

What if Trump gets them to give up nukes and planned genocide? What could Iran be???

Not now: You know the saying "What happens in Tehran stays in Tehran.....along with your hands."

But think of what it could be.....or am I just being too pollyannaish.

It is expensive to travel, isn't it? Love your report.

Everything is expensive, but we all prioritize.

I just knew I wanted to see things that I've read about. I climed the leaning tower, swam in the Mediterranean, I was in King Tut's Tomb before they put up the plastic so you couldn't go inside, Petra was worth the visit, bull fights, the world'd finest art museum, the Uffitzi, lunch in the Casbah, Capri Salad in Capri......
In Rome there is a crypt made from the bones of Capuchin friars....

And a dozen other amazing sights. I fould lots of amzing sights traveling across America, as well.

I still wanna stroll through Tehran.....and come back alive.

Fantastic Post !!!!!

And a note on the dynamics of the Middle East that you will not hear from the media lackeys of the Bolshevik Democrat Party: Israel is a benefit to the region.

Some time ago I recall a situation where Syria sent an army to attack Jordan.....and Israel sent a wave of Jets to fly over the Syrian force and "wag their wings," a warning .....and the Syrians turned back.

I can't find that article, but the Leftist IA denies it, so it probably is true.

And if any think that Israel doesn't do that sort of thing.....

Israeli Fighter Jets Fly Over Syria to Warn Against Attacks on Druze

IDF sends a strong message to Syria’s new regime as tensions rise.

Israeli Air Force (IAF) fighter jets recently flew at low altitudes over Syria in a show of force aimed at deterring the country’s new regime from targeting the Druze community, N12 reported on Wednesday.

The display was intended to send a clear message to interim Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa that Israel will not tolerate attacks on the Druze population. Israel has also been in direct contact with Syrian Druze leaders, assuring them of protection amid growing fears of persecution.

On March 1, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz made Israel’s position clear:
"We will not allow the terrorist regime of radical Islam in Syria to harm the Druze. If the regime harms the Druze, it will be harmed by us."

I have been in Druze towns in Israel, and Druze soldiers are in the IDF.

So when you hear the lies the Democrats and academia spread, perhaps a word from Longfellow;

For the soul is dead that slumbers,
And things are not what they seem.

Multiple sources report on the death of
Mahsa Amini, also known as Jina Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian woman who died in police custody in September 2022 after being arrested by Iran's morality police for allegedly violating strict dress code laws.
Here's what the information indicates regarding her death:
  • Circumstances of Arrest and Death: Mahsa Amini was arrested in Tehran for wearing her hijab "improperly". She was reportedly taken to a detention center for a "re-education class". While there, she collapsed and later died in a hospital after three days in a coma.
  • Evidence of Violence: Medical professionals and a UN report have indicated evidence of trauma to her body consistent with a physical beating.
  • Official Investigation: While Iranian authorities ordered an investigation, a UN report concluded that her death was caused by physical violence she suffered while in custody and that Iran was responsible for her death, claiming the government attempted to hide the truth.
  • Protests and Aftermath: Her death ignited widespread protests throughout Iran, known as the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement, demanding an end to mandatory hijab laws and greater rights for women. The Iranian government responded with a violent crackdown.

Obama left the Amina's to this sort of faith.

On the subject of Middle Eastern nations, one cannot miss the similarity between the current Democrat Party and the fundementalist islamic regimes: both fall under this rubric:

The phrase "We love death, while you love life" can be a difficult concept to understand, particularly from a Western secular perspective
. It is often linked to rhetoric from those willing to sacrifice themselves for what they believe is a higher cause or sacred values.

When a deadly fire killed 15 school girls in Makkah

On March 11, 2002, 15 young women lost their lives in a fire at their school in Makkah when members of the religious police prevented Civil Defense officers from entering and stopped pupils from fleeing the building because the girls weren’t wearing abayas or headscarves."

Sans this mentality, many would be wonderful to visit.....to stroll through.

Why don't you ask that question to the ukrainian nazis, killing US citizens in their prisons?
Where did you find "Ukrainians" in this thread you voluntarily subscribed to?

Perhaps you misread the posts.....I wonder if you found something about American tax dollars mentioned here:
