At about 4 AM, a group of young men returning from a night out stumbled on a bruised and unconscious male in the gutter. The discovery of the victim, later identified as a Cameroon ambassador who had been missing from the luxury Hotel Beaumont in New York a few hours after the murder of his friend Wayne Lloyd, was of no consolation.
Retired Lakeview attorney, George Crowder, would be joined by his old Harvard pal, Lieutenant Mark Kreevich of the Manhattan homicide division, to unravel the Hotel Beaumont/Lakeview dilemma.
