If I had to guesstimate, I'd say half of all "feel-good," content in social media is faked just for the clicks and the $$$$

You always save the life of a man unless that person is trying to kill you or another innocent person.
Of course he did the right thing. If a cop is just doing their job you have an obligation to save that life. Fear G-d FAR more than any police agency.

Wow. Can you imagine if someone was nearby? It looks like this guy got the upper hand on the cop and was assaulting him. Glad that didn't happen. Kudos the person getting arrested.

I second this. However, to answer the asked question. In my opinion, it would all depend on what the person in handcuffs was getting busted for. If I were the law enforcement officer being saved, I would most definitely not sweep what was done for up underneath the rug but depending on what the person in handcuffs was being arrested for, it may not be up to the law enforcement officer if the person in the handcuffs should go free or not.
