I used to live in Redondo Beach, California. It was a beautiful little beach city of surfers and girls in bikinis roller skating along the Esplanade. It was a place the Beach Boys sang about.

A friend who still lives there sent me a picture of Redondo Beach today. It is heartbreaking.
