What's the difference in salsa and picante sauce. When I buy in a jar, I prefer picante sauce. It has a fresher taste than jar salsa.

OK. Well, there is a marked difference in the look and taste of it. I much prefer fresh salsa, but I don't care to make it, and I like to keep some on hand for an impromptu craving. The picante sauce is brighter and fresher tasting than the jar salsa.
