This is an interesting read...they have a very different perspective on things

Just a snip from it...

One American expat living in Spain mentioned that the election results will influence his choice of whether to stay in Spain for the entire year or split his time between Spain and the US. He and his spouse have already bought a house on the warm Valencian coast. If Harris wins, they will spend only a few months of vacation in their Spanish home. However, if Trump wins, they would rather remain in Spain permanently. This expat has made sure to vote in every single election since the 1970s, and he has already sent his ballot for Harris early this time around.

Another prospective American expat indicates that if Trump wins, she and her husband intend to relocate to Portugal or Mexico. As a retiree, she expresses her desire not to spend her later years in a country she believes could be governed like a “dictatorship.” However, she is also concerned about her ability to access American banking services from abroad, including online banks like Wise, in case aggressively isolationist policies are implemented in the financial sector. Meanwhile, an American expat already living in Portugal worries that this small European nation will be overwhelmed by an influx of new expats from the US in the event of a Trump victory. This would lead to long lines at immigration offices and real estate agencies, complicating bureaucratic processes.

Interesting that one of the worries is that a Trump victory will bring a large increase in American ex-pats

Hopefully, these EX-PAT (traitors) will stay out of my country forever. We have enough dimwitted liberal voters living here now. God bless Trump.

Expat.com serves the people who decided to leave the best country in the world for a lesser country. No surprise that the article is skewed completely anti-Trump.

Most of the expat YouTuber's comments I'm reading (American YT expat channels) are all Trump voters.

do you have a link?

Not that I would ever doubt you, but I find it very hard to believe.

Those are two anecdotes and should be taken as such.

The best county in the world would not consider this normal political dialogue

YouTube is full of older expats with their own channels, they are easy to find. Read the comments.

Yes, I am on a lot of them, plus about a half a dozen forums. Never yet ran into one with a majority of Trump voters. Most are like me and hate the division in the country

I always get a kick out of my cult is better then your cult so we are allowed to say anything do anything but your cult can not.

The divisiveness began under Obama and Biden continued the Obama formula of division between the Races and Rich/Poor.

LOL some cherry-picked leftwingers.

Most ex-pats living overseas are Trump supporters.

Just curious here, what do you think "ex-pat" means?

No, it started under Bush II, Obama made it worse, Trump made it even worse, Biden still worse and whomever wins next week will continue to make it worse.

A divided population is far easier to control.

That's simply untrue.
He attacked the police consistently to inflame hatred amongst the Black populations, he disparaged Christians and gun owners consistently, and he attacked the successful consistently. All that was designed to divide and anger the country and it obviously worked.

That's likely untrue as well, and you probably know this. The only reason the percentages can be close to equal is the age of the ex-pat population, and this age range tends to vote conservative.
