SEC football goes 8 games, no E/W divisions starting 2024

The Big "10" and the SEC are too large. Conferences should be geographically centered for obvious reasons. Hawaii should not join the ATLANTIC Coast Conference...


We need to start over. USC and UW and UCLA should not be in the same conference as Rutgers (which is New Jersey State U).

They should start with STATE Conferences

Florida = UF, FSU, UCF, USF, Miami, Fla Atlantic, Fla International, FAMU, Fla A&M, Jacksonville State
Texas = Aggies, Horns, Horned Frogs, Baylor, TexTech, UTSA, UTEP, Houston, Sam Houston State, SMU

and for smaller states link border states to fill the map

SEC is still regional. Big 10 is going to have to figure out how to manage travel costs.

One tune up game is enough. The rest conference games. To many teams in the conferences with the new parameters enacted the last couple of years. More enticing regular season games on TV. With a potential 12 team national playoff this makes sense.
