School Budget problems...gimme a break.

Strollingbones made a comment in another thread about a school district that is quite poor yet the high school as a multi-$million football complex.

This got me to thinking...our area high school is a very large school...but the sporting complexes are HUUUUGE, more modern and I dare say cost more to build than the school itself.

And I bet those students who are in sports can read as well as a second grader and can do math as well as a first grader, but never fail a class. Something wrong with this picture?
