A "perfect storm" of number portability, crappy service, and horrible customer relations gives AT&T Wireless a mass exodus of 367,000 customers in one quarter

AT&T Wireless Services Inc. said on Tuesday it lost 367,000 subscribers in the first quarter as its reputation continued to suffer from technology problems in 2003.

Number portability... an idea whose time has finally come ;-)

I actually have ATT now, after leaving Sprint.
If ya ask me, they all kind of suck. Cell phone services that is.
They either charge too much, or the service isn't great, or your free minutes don't start until 9PM... sure beats having your care breakdown in the middle of nowhere and having only the coyotes to call, though

I dumped my cell phone (Cingular). I was paying $70 a month for 500 shared minutes with my wife's cell phone. Turns out that was their cheapest shared minutes plan!! So I dumper mine and let the wife keep hers - 300 minutes, plus 1000 night/wknd minutes, all for $30/month.

And now I'm not tied to a cell phone!!!
