That is not completely fair either, on D-Day the US put about 56 thousand troops on shore the British the same out of a landing force of about 130k most of the rest were Canadian and other allied forces like the free French, but the US did have the largest casualties on Beaches like Omaha, also the Canadians had a rough landing on Juno Beach, Gold Beach where my Uncle landed with the 7th Battalion Green Howards had about a thousand casualties, my Uncle was killed 12 days later between Bayeux and Caen trying to cut the highway to stop the Germans reinforcing.

I really do people would just report facts, although there are some aspects of the report that raise questions like some of these supposed prisoners were named.

Strange thing is i have seen quite a few reports of this story one from a Norwegian News source, so i have an open mind and wouldn't rule it out altogether.
