I picked-up one of these today.

It came with a nice hard case, 1" scope rings, a scope rail, and 2-20 round mags.....I have a bunch of OEM mags for my early Mini-14 so I was glad to see the two more 20-rounders. Can't have too many. ;)

It will take a M7 bayonet as shown.

Where it fell flat on it's face was sling mounting.
It's designed to take an M1 Carbine sling/oiler combination but the front sling swivel is too narrow to accept the steel ends of a carbine sling and the oiler slot is not cut wide enough to allow the end of the sling to pass through a GI oiler.

I altered a black SKS sling for the task and it will serve. Works real well in fact.

I'm going with a Redfield 2 x 7 x 25 scope for it but I've not made up mind mind on how to mount it yet.

Is that an M1 Carbine with a steel S&K (or alum. knock-off) scope mount?

I set-up a Universal carbine clone with a S&K mount for my dad (old eyes) and it worked well enough.

Oh I decided to go with the Ruger rings as I did not care for the way the rail mounted.

I'll wring it out next week.

Its 1944 M1 with a modern Boyd wood stock, weaver rail red dot, and laser. I have modern hollow point ammo for it.
