Another great from the music industry RIP.

So weird, I was just thinking about this guy the other night, and was wondering if he was still around. He worked with a lot of greats in the industry, and I first read about him when he produced Nilsson’s “Nilsson Schmilsson” album back in the '70's.

Richard Perry dead aged 82 as tributes pour in for legendary music producer

Richard Perry, a hitmaking record producer with a flair for both standards and contemporary sounds, died at 82 on Tuesday.

His successes included Carly Simon's 'You're So Vain', Rod Stewart’s “The Great American Songbook” series and a Ringo Starr album featuring all four Beatles.

If you ever drive a late model Honda CRV, the seatbelt alarm is the exact same sound and key as the intro piano notes of that song. The tempo on the song is slightly slower than the alarm. You can play the song and allow the alarm to sound throughout and it will remain musical.

Nilsson Schmilsson was a pivotal album and also one damn finely recorded one with really good sound.
If only all LPs were recorded so well!

That and Son of Schmilsson defined my youth.
