Revolut account: Tell me about it.

A friend of mine has a Revolut account and he advises me to open one myself. But when I ask him to explain it to me he can’t seem to put it into words. Does anyone here have a Revolut account? What are the advantages and disadvantages of it?

I've tried some internet searching but it seems to go round and round, as you say. A couple of cautionary points (for me) is there seems to be a fundamental connection with Lithuania and Ukraine.

Did not know of the Lithuanian connection ( Troll Bot Titty Titwin old territory ) .

That was a mad house place up to around 2006 -- visited several times -- and has again sunk badly because of the influx of Ukey escapees .
Against that, Revolut say that they are specifically preventing scams from those areas .

But what's wrong with a boring but safe Visa Debit Card -- my choice ?

I've been to Lithuania only twice - both times long before this Russia/Ukarine thing - and it was a near shithouse even then, and I was even in Ukraine once and it really was a shithouse for sure.

Against that, Revolut say that they are specifically preventing scams from those areas .

Could be but in that source it states that Revolut was a joint project originating in Lithuania and Ukraine.

A chat on that very question is the reason I started this thread. WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF a Revolut account from a personal (experienced) point of view?
