And about social security, didnt Trump said he will cut taxes on social benefits and for workers and middle class? Trump will make social benefits tax free, doesnt that mean there will be more money in benefits not less?

A few clarifications, if you please...

Trump famously told one of our NATO allies that if a NATO member was not meeting its financial obligations he would think twice about going full-bore to defend such a country (my words, not his), if attacked by an adversary - presumably Russia.

Leftists have lost their fucking minds over this statement. It was what is called in the commercial/industrial world, a "negotiating ploy." He was admonishing our allies to meet their obligations. It was not a serious threat. Get real.

Trump has said that he would not have sent billions and billions of dollars to Ukraine, as the Biden Administration has done. That IS NOT THE SAME AS saying he would pull the financial plug on Ukraine. What he was saying was that Biden was weak and stupid to allow the "situation" to get to where it is, and he (Trump) would have brought the two parties to the table in the context of a cease fire, very early in the conflict. Again, the Left has lost its mind over Trump's statement, either intentionally or stupidly misinterpreting it entirely.

Finally, Donald Trump has NEVER even hinted that he would do anything to reduce SS or Medicare benefits which, in any event are not subject to the machinations of the deficit and/or National Debt. He has unseriously proposed that SS benefits should be free of FIT - a stupid proposal if ever there was one, and a proposal that will never amount to anything. Retired people like me are the wealthiest demographic in our society, and if the retirees in question are "poor" they are paying only a pittance in taxes, if anything at all.

When Trump told them to pay for their own military because we are sick of paying for them...They all laughed.

So he put the fear of God into them & said the USA would not defend them...and guess what?

They started paying for their own military!

But oh how the left used that to attack Trump (Trump is upsetting the balance of world power by abandoning NATO).

more money in benefits plus cut taxes results in a higher national debt.

The good side I see is Trump has changed the Republican party to be much more liberal and like the Democratic party. I never really considered Trump a true Right Wing Republican. I always saw Trump as just a Democrat running as president for the Republican party. He has transformed the Republican Party to be much more liberal and progressive than it once was. This is actually good news in the long run because it means the country is moving more liberal and to the left regardless if it a Democrat or Republican in the white house.

The other good side I see him to being president is... this means it is his last 4 years and we will most certainly have another Democrat president after he serves his 4 years. He won't run again. This means most likely after he leaves office 4 years later the country will elect another Democrat to be president. One of the reasons he did much better than other Republicans who wanted to run for president is because he was more like a Democrat than they were. Trump probably picked up a lot of Democrats just because he does have some ideas that are typically seen as more progressive and not typical of your usual Republican candidate.
