Since there isn't really a place to talk about magazines that published stories that became cultural icons I will put this here.
I have been digging through my library with the intent of getting it in order. I don't have any originals, but I do have everything Edgar Rice Burroughs published, a nearly complete collection of Doc Savage, and a smattering of a few other pulps. My favorite has always been Doc Savage, even though he changed a lot in the latter books. I always preferred the heroes who were created by training and discipline over those that got their powers from mystical means. I actually avoided reading The Shadow for years because I thought he had some type of mystical power when he was really a prototype of Batman. I really love those old pulps and wish that we had something comparable today. comic books are nice, but way to expensive.
