As a trading nation the unified market of the EU is important to us. Too, the EU's food safety regulations are becoming the de facto norm, which is to all our benefits.
It is more of a practical force for good than the US.

It is a very well known Catholic church. It was placed up on a mountain. Germany has a church on a cliff at a pair of towns called Idar Oberstein.

I was lucky I suppose to drive up the hill to the entry.

I don't like them all, but could favorably single out Poland, albeit russophobic to the core, as the most conservative one. Hungary and Slovakia too as the lesser of the so much evil Europe has transformed itself into. Except those three they are all woke amoebas to me.
