“Trump’s polling is in the landfill and his economy is not much better. That doesn’t mean either has hit rock bottom.

The souring headlines are impossible to miss, even for those who have treated his second term as something to tune out, avoid, or deny. Trump’s rampage through the professional, permanent class of government workers has cost tens of thousands of jobs and reduced the federal payroll to 1960s levels. At least 120,000 feds have been cut or targeted for reductions, according to CNN’s headcount. Trump’s war on the budget—even though net spending is actually up since he took office—has drastically reduced contracts with outside companies and vendors, often with no clear plan for making up for the services they were providing. The daily chaos is in your face with hourly outrages and a constant stream of outbursts.

The only thing falling quicker than Washington’s patience with the White House is the U.S. economy, which has been rocked by fears of a trade war fueled by escalating and irrational tariffs.”

Chaos, turmoil, a reckless and erratic Trump leave business leaders unable to plan and an economy drifting closer to recession.

In the full picture the issue is bleak as the Democrats are unable to come up with a valid alternative.

It's just failure brought on by the failure of the other party, over and over again.

If the election were held today Trump might have an uphill battle to become Trump 48. Offsetting that, the DNC has had its NGO funding cutoff. Further complicating the democrat chances, DOJ is starting to taking a look at the CCP, MS-13 and Sinaloa funding ActBlue

I'm not at all upset about the govt jobs being cut on the whole, empathy for those laid off aside. It needed to be done for a very long time.

But yeah, the economy is just not good right now and I feel like it's getting worse. Do I expect miracles in three months? Not by a longshot. But things must improve in the next three months or he is in jeopardy of a failed presidency.

Most people would agree with your synopsis.

I warned you all after two weeks or so of Trunp winning that the Dems were not going to abandon their far-left po!icies. They were not going to change, move to the middle and pose a threat to GOP leadership. They are heavily beholden to their donorsand their donors are members of the far-left

I read a report in the new york times, about how, thanks to the new direction of the Trump administration, that people are leaving the Civil Rights division in droves.

Think on that. Simply because they have to protect white people too, they would rather be unemployed.

The rampage though the government, getting rid of leftards, is a GOOD thing for AMERICANS, who have been their victims for generations.

The OP is based on a biased TIME article. Not surprised.

1. Trump's 45% approval is NOT in a landfill. It is TWICE as high as the democrat's approval, which is at an ALL TIME LOW.

2. The real political comparison is between Trump and the democrats. Democrats are at 27%

WEF/MSM twist the numbers.

Democrats poll much lower then 27% and have yet to find the floor.

Trump is probably in the high 60s

Wow.................doesn't look good?

Job growth was stronger than expected in April despite worries over the impact of President Donald Trump’s blanket tariffs against U.S. trading partners.

Nonfarm payrolls increased a seasonally adjusted 177,000 for the month, slightly below the downwardly revised 185,000 in March but above the Dow Jones estimate for 133,000, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.

The unemployment rate held at 4.2%, as expected, indicating that the labor market is holding relatively stable. The survey of households, which is used to calculate the jobless rate, showed an even stronger gain, with an increase of 436,000 in those who reported holding jobs on the month.

A broader unemployment gauge that includes discouraged workers and those holding part-time jobs for economic reasons, or the underemployed, edged lower to 7.8%. The labor force participation rate ticked higher to 62.6%.
