Poll: 66 percent think presidential election process is broken

Only 3 in 10 Americans believe that the nation’s process for electing a new president is functional, a record low, according to a new poll. Some 66 percent believe that the system is broken, a Gallup survey released Friday found, while 4 percent had no opinion.

Fewer debates, for one thing. Having 15 debates is absurd. I think that moron Reince Prebus had so many debates only because the RNC was making money off them. He treats the election like a profit making opportunity. Having the Republican candidates going after each other week after week only provides the Democrats with ammunition to use in the general election.

That being said, if you think there's some way to reform democracy you are seriously naive. Democracy is inherently corrupt. H.L. Mencken called elections "a present auction on future goods." Politicians are dispensing swag looted from the taxpayers. There's no way to make that process respectable.

I don't care about democracy. The republic on the other hand...

Get big money out.

Its really that simple.

It amazes me that some people disagree with this. Why should your success as a politician depend on how much money you have access to? That's asinine.

Simple solutions for simple minds.
