Police have been accused of turning a blind eye to the spread of sharia courts in Britain.

Newly released Government figures show that less than 3 per cent of so-called “honour crimes” were successfully prosecuted last year.

The data show the authorities are consistently failing to prosecute and prevent honour-based abuse, which can include offences such as female genital mutilation, homicide (honour killings) and forced marriage.

And campaigners are warning that the “privatisation of justice” within some Muslim communities through sharia courts makes it harder for the state to intervene.

They say this has fostered a parallel justice system operating behind closed doors with no state oversight.

Incidentally, FGM is not a religious practice; it's a cultural one. It's practiced in North Africa by Christians and Muslims alike, and the practice predates either religion, as we have found mummies that had this done to them when they were alive.

I also don't see what the Right Wing's problem with this is, as they are constantly trying to impose Christian Nationalism on America.

A 14-year-old was considered old enough to marry in this country until the end of the 19th century. Now we have 25-year-old man-children living with their parents.

As for polygamy, just don't see anything wrong with it as long as everyone involved is a consenting adult.

Polygamy isn't a crime against women.

It's just a different form of family structure.
