Picked up a used car dolly today.

It seems pretty solid. Didn't come with basket straps so I haven't got to try it out yet.

It started out life as a swivel dolly, but now it's fixed.

With the swivel, the steering is locked and the swivel limits the side to side motion of the front end.

With a fixed dolly, you must leave the steering unlocked, and there is nothing to limit range of motion. Cut a turn too tight, and it may be a catastrophe of metal car fender meeting metal dolly fender.

Looks to be in pretty good shape--Is the center set up for a motorcycle? Mine didn't have that center channel.

We don't need no stinking fenders. They're just extra weight.

Looks to be in pretty good shape--Is the center set up for a motorcycle? Mine didn't have that center channel.

That is the old swivel plate. They just welded it in. But that's an interesting idea. Adding a channel attachment for a bike.

I didn't notice that it wasn't a swivel. I had one some years ago and I guess I just thought they all swiveled.
