Rocker got railroaded out of MLB for political reasons. He had what he thought was an off-the-record conversation with a leftwing reporter and got buried for it. Yeah, he said some stuff, but so what? Steve Carlton was the closest thing to a sports idol I had as a kid, even though he played for the hated Phillies. He refused to talk to reporters because they screwed him. He had it right. NEVER talk to a leftwing media reporter. especially if you are a conservative. They are evil double-crossing people. They will pretend they are your friend, get you to talk, pretend it's just between you and them, then they will destroy you.
