I owned one and used one for many years in the 60s and 70s. No one ever admitted to moving the planchet, but the thing moved every time. I never could spot anyone moving it. You could tell people's fingers were barely touching it.

Yes. They are fun to mess with people who forgot they told you things. I used to have one that supposedly came from the haunted Toys R US in Sunnyvale CA just to up the Ohhs when clowning folks with it.

I've looked into the movement of the planchet many times. No one has ever identified how it moves. Or, why not everything used as a planchet moves.

Naw. When I summon spirits(they come with physical bodies) I use carrots, honey roasted nuts, corn chips & oats.
