Occupied by Moscow since the end of World War II, Japan's Kuril Islands are now out of gasoline. Is it the perfect time for Japan to act?

Japan should just take them back.

context :

Maybe Russia should return all or part of those Islands while recognizing How USA's war on Japan was a murderous fraud.
But, does Japan produce much oil?

The indigenous Ainu people claim that they are the original inhabitants of the islands and that both the Japanese and Russians were invaders, while they prefer Russian rule.

There are thousands of Russian residents living on these tiny islands now, who must have been forcefully relocated to the Kuril Islands in the Soviet era. It's not a safe place to live. There was a major earthquake that hit the Kuril Islands.
