The warmth of collectivism is about to bring new pain to NYC renters (many of whom probably voted for Mamdani  ).

Can one of the lefties here help me with this? I don't understand commie logic: does he think he can raise property taxes, and landlords will just take it in the ass, instead of passing it on to their tenants? Is he really that dumb? Or does he just know his supporters are that dumb, and won't ask the question?

Is it both?

Mamdani property tax hike would lead to rent increases, experts warn

The landlords of rental units CANNOT pass on the increases

This is by design and metastasized since 2019.

All in an effort to turn apartments into Public housing

It's my opinion that Mamdani has found his first brick wall.
He alone, cannot arbitrarily jack up property taxes 9.5%.
He needs the city council to go along with his scam. I'm willing
to bet they aren't that stupid......even in New York.

Mamydani will find out soon enough he's in waaay over his head

It's already way too late to do anything about it.....because this little asshole communist is already in office.

Once communists get into power you can't get rid of them.

Brings new meaning to the term "affordability".

At a time when a lot of states are looking to reduce property taxes or even eliminate them entirely. This is the lib play book though. No substance or cognitive thought. Raise taxes is the only brain cell up there.

Funny how one of the main grievances the colonies had with London was taxation. Some 250 years later, you have to chuckle.

FYI Mandami started his term with a Jihad on private landlords that's already well underway

I was born in Bozeman, lived there when I was young. My cousin
and his wife lives there, we can't talk politics, they are sooo liberal.
Not sure what happened to them.
CNN probably.

I was born in Missoula and have been to Bozeman dozens of times. My mom's sister lived on a farm outside of Bozeman.
