At last, something sensible has occurred in the state. Beginning in January, there will be no more state automobile inspections in New Hampshire. Most people know that New Hampshire drivers are in a lot more danger from bald drunks than bald tires. Now we need to change vehicle registration laws so that a vehicle owner only registers a vehicle once after purchase for the lifetime of the car. The state scam of charging people with newer cars exorbitant fees virtually guarantees that poorer people will drive older cars. We need safe roads, not creepy politicians that use a personal car for a bonanza to get the state money.

Any money lost by the state on vehicle registrations should be made up by jacking up the taxes on all alcohol products sold. Some people might even decide to stop using booze which would contribute to safer roads.

Have you noticed that people with resources can hire lawyers to fight DUI charges? They often find a technicality to skate on the charges. Poorer people who spend all their cash on vehicle inspections and registrations do the sidewalk olympics and end up walking. The people peddling the state's booze don't care if you walk. Well, we don't care if they pay higher taxes on the booze. See? One had washes the other. Lol.

Why are people forced to register their car every year when registering it once is all that is needed? It stays on file so the police know who owns it. Sometimes the best way to fight a beast is to starve it. Doing away with yearly vehicle registrations would force the state to use its taxation more wisely.
