I don't care for her music but she shows a lot of courage to speak what she believes which runs totally contrary to Hip Hop culture and entertainers in general. In most cases that "ID" is not one that proves citizenship (nationality of jurisdiction(origin)).

Trump needs to focus on libertarian domestic policies. There should not be even one person in prison exclusively for smoking weed. What a waste of money, resources and years of someones life.

I dont even smoke cigarettes but I cannot in good conscience sit silent when there are humans in prison for smoking a mild plant while there are countless drunk drivers killing people, others smoking cigarettes etc.

In my state, Washington, we have a regular driver's license/ID, mostly just requires proof of your address and any prior ID showing who you are.
We also have "Enhanced Driver's License" which requires proof of USA citizenship such as a birth certificate, passport, etc.

Enhanced will let you border a passenger airliner, go into and back from Canada, etc.
Regular doesn't do the above and is not admissible as any proof of citizenship. One could remain a citizen of France (for example) and still get a state 'regular' driver's license/ID.

Ergo, "We" want them showing an Enhanced ID/Driver's License, Passport, or other documentation that ACTUALLY proves citizenship.

You will look less stupid and less of a dolt if you researched more and spouted off less.

I honestly don't believe there are many in prison for "just smoking a mild plant", at least in prison for long periods. That may have been the case years ago but I don't think so much anymore. Anyone who is in prison for this for a long time now has probably been found guilty of other crimes connected to it, or for illegally growing large amounts or for trafficking the stuff. I don't have any stats on that. Just my opinion.

Sorry you lack skill to read between the lines or engage basic deductions.

I, personally, would like it be that one has to show "ID that proves citizenship" in order to register to vote and then also to vote.

Insult to injury is my state has mail-in voting, but no in person balloting anymore. Which makes fraud even more easier to do.
BTW, I've been an observer at local auditor's office when ballots are being tallied and have also chased down the ones that were unsigned or had non-matching signatures.

When "chasing down" unsigned and mismatched, we didn't need to check for ID of any sort and verify, just get a signature on an affidavit.

You are confusing citizenship with voter ID. The latter is merely verification that you are a registered voter.

At my state's Department of Licensing, when getting a new or renewed driver's license they will automatically register you to vote (if not already registered) and only require you sign a statement(affidavit) claiming you are a citizen. No proof of such required.

The Enhanced Driver's License (costs more, has an ID chip) will require you to show proof of USA citizenship.

My personal desire is;
1) to no longer do "motor voter"
2) require proof of USA citizenship to register to vote
3) have in-person voting as standard (SOP), absentee and "mail-in" require prior registration that includes proof of citizenship provided
