The Mrs. and I go shopping up in NH most weekends. Over the past several years I've noticed a shift in demographics there. Making the rounds in a grocery store or wherever, I see more and more interracial couples pushing baby carriages. Nobody pays them any mind as far as I can see, but it is noticeable. The image of NH as a "white" state is no longer accurate for the most part.

I was in a class in college in the very early 80s, and had to research racial distributions by state. The data I found showed NH as having a total of 83 or so African Americans in the whole state. Further research showed that they all were stationed at an Air Force base. None of them lived in the civilian population unrelated to the base. Attending college in the deep south made this little factoid even more bizarre.

It probably is changing but the demographics seem to still be 90% white making it third in the nation of being predominantly white. Only Maine and Vermont are more so.

When I lived in Kansas I missed seeing the racial diversity we have here in New Mexico. Non Hispanic whites make up only 36% of the population here with almost 50% being Hispanic, roughly 11% Native American. I don't mind being in the minority at all.

Is that really a good thing? Interracial couples are not the ones that made this country great. Time will tell, after we end up in a non-white society if we are better off. As for me, I don't have much faith in those who immigrated from China, Africa or UAE counties to make America great again.

If that's what happens, that's what happens. Among all racial demographics in the USA, non Hispanic whites have the lowest abortion rate at 10% but also are marrying later and are more likely to have fewer children or no children.

There is nothing to be done about it I suppose so long as so many wackos keep promoting not having children.

Friends of mine from high school (late 60s) had to have three separate services to satisfy both sets of parents and themselves.

According to your do-nothing view when murder happens it just happens so get used to it. There may not be much we can do to stop "this once great country" turning into a minority but a look-the-other-way attitude certainly is not the answer. To defend your position, name for us the minority countries that you would prefer to live in, other than the USA.
