It's rather easy to form media-based social networks and 'clubs' these days (thanks to changes in sociological signposts such as Facebook and Celebrity).

Simply log onto the Internet and use an identity-masking alias (or 'avatar') to start posting ideas about virtual social group functionalism.

That's both the blessing and the curse of modern networking media, since it invites both dialogue advocates (e.g., Ellen DeGeneres) and propaganda ministers (e.g., ISIS).
