I live somewhere in rural Austria European Union
My grandfather, that's me
My grandfather, that's me
Nobody wants to understand it
But it can happen to anyone
My grandfather, that's me
It was many years ago, it started innocently enough
I met a rich widow and became her second husband
This widow's daughter was just 18 years old."
She went after my father and off we went to the altar
So my father became my son-in-law, but that was just the beginning
My stepdaughter was my stepmother because my father was her husband
So far so good, we saw through it, that's how it went for the first year
Then the rattle stork rang and I became a dad
My grandfather, that's me
My grandfather, that's me
Nobody wants to understand it
But it can happen to anyone
My grandfather, that's me
My son was now the brother of my wife's daughter
Well, my father's brother-in-law, that's what I figured out
But as my father's brother-in-law, I remembered with horror
Will my son not only be my son but also my uncle
My wife's daughter had a set of twins
They were my brothers because they were father's sons
And if these are my brothers, then everyone can see it
Must be her grandma, my wife, my grandma too
If my wife is my grandmother, I am her grandchild
Which brings us almost to the end of our little chronicle
Because as my grandma's husband, there's no discussion
I am not only my grandfather, but also my grandson
My grandfather, that's me
My grandfather, that's me
It would be half as difficult if I weren't my grandson
My grandfather, that's me

It's a relative thing~

Krauts dressed up as Cowboys /Hilly Billy people ,singing an untuneful children's nursery ditty.

About as bad as Gupta 1's Bulgarian screeching and side stepping .
The unremitting awfulness of it .

Mine Opa on my mother's side was Home Guard due to age but two of his sons ended up in Siberia as POWs .
Walked out of camp and all the way back into Bavaria .
True story.
As for my forefather, you can delete the Sturm.
Btw I know the book "Soweit die Füße tragen". Its about a POW who walked from Siberia to Turkey.
