Try the one on North Highland Ave, in Jackson, TN. They are great, late at night when you are drunk or if getting off I-40 after driving back home from a concert in Nashville. We had breakfast there, night before last, about 1:30 in the morning.

This one is pretty clean, for an awful, I mean Waffle House. It is right on the main drag, US 45 North, (Highland Ave), about a block south of I-40. I would not recommend the motel next door, and, yes, I have seen shady people in the area. Happenings are rare. Behind them, on the hill it the best indoor shooting range between Memphis and Nashville. During range operational hours, there are armed good guy moving in and out, some (like myself) even eat at the Waffle House on occasion. I have never had trouble, or even felt insecure there, in any way. Of course, I am carrying, loaded 15+1, Federal LE/Personal Defense 124 12 grain, with two spare 15 rnd magazines, as is common with me, even on a river or hiking trail, so, I am not prone to excess worry.
