Morti wants to tell you something

I think you are very insecure

I think you're a reasonable guy who has different interests and everyone has different interests. Just stay away from those things that accidently got you in trouble.

Do you think Mort is a self hater or just a reasonable guy

Why do you identify as a gypsy if you have no association with gypsy as a community/ culture or whatever?

He is searching for an identity. He got angry with me once when I associated him with gypsies and here he is saying he is a gypsy.

To answer his original question I would say he leans towards self hater.

Because its a biological race/reality its also physically and on DNA test visible and because where im from its different then in the USA where its only a culture its a thing of blood features skin tones here even assimilated urbanised gypsies are gypsies maybe unfamiliar for a american

You didnt only associated me with the race but with certain negative stereotypes im not sure you understand this and if i could not be a gypsy i would not be but where im from gypsies are visible immediately because they are not white

What Roma are
Roma are:
An ethnic group
With shared South Asian (Northwest Indian) origins
That migrated to Europe ~1,000 years ago
Then mixed with West Asians, Balkans, and Central/Eastern Europeans
And developed their own language (Romani), culture, and identity
This makes them distinct, but not a separate race.
Why people see Roma as “quasi-racial”
Because Roma share:
recognisable phenotypic patterns (brown skin, dark hair, sharp features — but with big variation)
shared ancestry cluster on DNA tests
a common historical diaspora, like Jews or Armenians
being treated as a distinct population by others (outsider classification)
So in the social sense — like “white,” “black,” “Arab,” “Jewish” — you could say Roma function like a quasi-racial category, but scientifically they are an ethnic population, not a race.

Thanks for the response.

Stop worrying about people's negative judgements regarding something you cannot change. If you're not hanging out with stereotypical "gypsies" then it's most likely people aren't really paying much attention to you in public, because you're not calling attention to yourself but just being a good citizen.

You have posted about your family and seem to have close relationships. If you spend a lot of time with family, you don't really need many friends.
