The 27-year-old was booked into jail this week after a struggle with the babysitter that knocked the child to the ground.

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called late Monday to the home near Great Bend, a city of around 15,000 in the western part of the state. The suspect was gone when they arrived, but the babysitter told them that the child had been complaining about a “monster” before she found the suspect.

The man once lived in the home, but that there was a protection from abuse order issued against him to stay away from the property, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies searched but were unable to find the man until the next day, when he was captured after a foot chase, the news release said.

A simple concept, but the possible is.far more frightening to me than a supernatural horror movie I cant suspend my belief enough to accept.

That's why you don't dismiss your children's concerns when they come to you about a noise or something they've seen. I've read about people hidind in trees, attics, and the crawlspace. I remember one story about a girl complaining about a noise in her room to her stepdad, it turned out there was a swarm of wasps or something in the wall and have been chewing through. Always listen to your kids when they seem worried. Best case scenario is you were inconvenienced.

I remember one instance, my Mom and I had gone grocery shopping. My Dad and the sibs had traveled to Little Rock to visit my Grandmother, I had twisted an ankle and to say home. We put the groceries down and Mom went the bedroom, and I heard a scream, there was man lying the bed. Mom grabbed a bat my Dad kept for protection. The man got and ran, but Mom still managed whack his butt as hard as she could. One did not mess Mom.
