Meh, at 12 1/2 I had a job that brought home a real paycheck.....Back then all you needed was your parent's permission for certain jobs, others required a work permit and you had to wait till you were 14 or so to go to those types of jobs like at a factory......Work builds character.

As far as "child" marriage goes others can hash all that out.

I'm not that old but I old enough to remember if any politician said that publicly when I was younger their career would be instantly over.
