Were I an American, I'd have voted for him in a heartbeat. But he had no shot at the presidency. Hard-core Republicans still hate him for not doing what he had no right to do anyway and unilaterally rejecting EC results that gave Biden the win, and the electorate at large would too closely associate him with Trump to vote for him.
