1. The sign-stealing scandal was incredibly overblown given many points.
- Video and broadcast scouting of sidelines already exists, and even coaches and programs share their recon between one another (as OSU and Purdue did before Purdue faced Michigan a few years back in the Big 10 Championship game)
- Most signals are given via player substitutions, and many plays are called in a pre-planned sequence, so any scouting of sideline signals effects such a minimal portion of the game.
- Teams are free to, and do, change signals at any time throughout the season. They aren't written in stone.
- Michigan's rise in 2021 directly correlates with their complete overhaul of their coaching staff, bringing in multiple Baltimore Ravens coaches as well as having beast recruiting years, and earning the award for the best offensive line in college football from 2021-2023. That's just a team that was really good.
2. Had Harbaugh stayed, he wouldn't have gotten that show cause. The NCAA just slapped it on after he had left to go to the NFL to posture.
3. Sheronne Moore is a Harbaugh Parasite who didn't earn his spot, but was the right guy in the right place at the right time.
4. Any of his insane freak out and illegal activity after his affair was revealed isn't some judgment of Michigan football. While the story is shocking, what does it have to do with the Football program itself? OJ Simpson's issues didn't reflect on the NFL
However, it is just a dramatic black eye on the program, which is getting dragged through this just by association.
