UPDATE Bachmann later came back to the floor and described Medicaid — a health care program for lower-income Americans — as a “ghetto.” “Here’s the one that no American wants to be in. It’s the Medicaid ghetto,” she said. “And that’s where the lowest possible care, where very few doctors will be available available to offer this kind of care.” While the program is not without problems, a study by the Government Accountability Office showed Medicaid beneficiaries were just as happy with their health care as those with private insurance.

Rationing care to save money won't have an affect on a person's chances for survival?? Okay, then.

People over 75 are likely to be denied many medical procedures. Will they die without that pacemaker? Yes.

Bachmann is correct on both counts. Obamacare will result in needless deaths. Medicare is a ghetto of underprivileged people receiving substandard rationed care.
No wonder people say liberalism is a mental disorder.

As for idiot Bachmann, they've tried to repeal it ore than 33 times at the cost of many millions to the taxpayer. Unless every Repub is brain dead (and, yes, that's a real possibility), they know their "repeal" cannot get past the Senate and if it did, they might want to note that Obama is in the WH and isn't real likely to sign it. IOW, this is all political theater, wasting time and TAXPAYER money when they could be working to create JOBS.

And, if ObamaCare is so bad, why does Bachmann demand that we continue to pay for hers?

Why do rw's continue to fall for this dog and pony show?

And don't talk about grandstanding after the Democratic House voted how many times to condemn the Iraq war but would never cut off funding for it, which actually would have ended it.

Last week I posted a copy of the draft application for Obamacare benefits, which clocks in at a hefty 21 pages.

Consumer advocates and Wonkblog commenters had similar questions: Why on earth would the federal government create such a complex form to obtain a public benefit?

For me, at least, the flowchart below provides a bit of an answer. It comes from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, which represents the regulators who oversee each state’s insurance market. It is an attempt to draw up the most basic, simple questions to determine eligibility for insurance subsidies or Medicaid.

You don’t have to spend much time with the chart to get that, it’s really not simple at all. (click here for a larger version).

Can you show me a managed care system that did not end up with exploding costs and ultimately rationing of care? No, I didnt think so.
 
President Obama thanks the GOP for the term, "Obamacare". It will be known as that in history books.
