Maybe it's time to revisit and bring back the old Common Scold laws.

In the common law of crime in England and Wales, a common scold was a type of public nuisance—a troublesome and angry person who broke the public peace by habitually chastising, arguing, and quarrelling with their neighbours. Most punished for scolding were women, though men could be found to be scolds.

The offence, which carried across in the English colonisation of the Americas, was punished by fines and public humiliation: dunking (being arm-fastened into a chair and dunked into a river or pond); parading through the street; being put in the scold's bridle (branks) or the stocks.

The leftists should be fine with it since they don't think free speech is not absolute.

It would also serve to put unpleasant and ill-tempered politicians in their place.

I suspect politicians of all strips would be more responsible for the words that come out of their mouths if they knew a dunking or a spell in the stocks was in their future. ;)

we can't seem to get trump any other way, so sure, he is as hard to cure as the common (s )cold.

"New York state cities have passed a law allowing jaywalking and red-light jaywalking. This is part of the fight against racism, because 90% of fines for such violations are directed at black people."
Is this true?

There's one (and only one) Islamic law that I would like to see implemented across the US. That is the punishment of chopping off a hand of someone caught stealing. Also, since we're in the 21st century, they wouldn't be allowed to obtain a prosthesis. After two convictions of theft, "stumpy" would be seriously limited in getting any more theft done.

Most scolds were women?

Yeah sounds a lot like my wife, she always has something to complain about.
