Hebrew is not a noun based language.
It's a metaphoric, verb-based language.

There is no single word used for wine the way we think.

The foaming blood of grapes is the compound word used for wine.

And since it's a simplistic, metaphoric language it covers several types of grape drinks.

New wine, syrupy sweet, light bubbles (almost champagne like)

Then regular wine....usually used to flavor water. The Higher sugar content the better. How much wine versus water was always a discussion. Being drunk was to be avoided but bacterial contamination of water was also common. The wine or beer was used to assist in sterilizing the water. Even old wine that was a sweet vinegar was something akin to lemonade when mixed with water. Children got very diluted wine (wine was a commodity like gold, silver, or grain....commodity based monetary system....money was food and food was money)

Fortified wine....after the wine has fermented and is almost turned to vinegar raisins are added to provide more sugar content and to continue fermentation.
Various recipes abound including the addition of spices. These can be everything from an after dinner drink like a brandy or aperitif to just some sort of liquor without the distilling process.

The spices?
Used primarily to add flavor....BUT
They can have all sorts of hallucinogenic or numbing properties. (Clove oil, nutmeg, mace, and even "wormwood" which is a type of extremely addictive halucinogen Nativeto the area. Became outlawed eventually.

Press squeezing.
Wine presses had a lit of pulp, skins and seeds leftover from pressing out the juice. But it tastes sweet....and it made a type of jam that ghe grape pressers would make and sell. (Still called "wine" in most translations) referred to as the "SOP" as Jesus gave this to Judas before he betrayed him. SOP being an acronym for "Son of Perdition".

And indeed....fresh matzo is a great conveyance for butter and jam into your mouth.

You must not follow the Bible. The Bible clearly states Jesus and early Christians drank wine.

I have a believing book at home but I still prefer to drink beer.

The Bible note that people drank wine, and I have drunk wine. I prefer beer and similar alcohol.

Most people have tried wine, but white people prefer beer.

Hebrew women made beer in Egypt and indeed it was the working people's beverage of choice.

There were several "feasts" or picnics the Jews were to have at the Temple or tabernacle each year that was to include either wine or beer (your choice of whichever you liked more) as they were to be celebrations.

However....
The FIRST mentions in scriptures concerning wine were Noah and how Lot ended up impregnating his daughters.
Neither story is a positive.
BUT,
There was the one story of Abraham bringing wine for his Visitors....

Just saying.....

I do think so!

Every year when I was in grade school we had a Ukrainian Catholic service. Communion was the hosts all soggy in a chalice because it was mixed with wine. They used a very tiny spoon to dispense it. Damn that was gross.

Mark 7:15. Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.”
There is nothing, as in no thing, that goes outwardly in that defiles the temple. It is what comes out of our filthy mouths that defiles the temple.
So, drink your wine in moderation, and remember what Jesus said about it...
