They are a prosperity church led by their conman/collector of tithes. Police are investigating the group's disruption of a meeting in a library and possible assault of the library attendants around the same time.

That haka - action song and dance - is not even theirs, it's been appropriated from Ngāti Toa, the iwi of its composer, Te Rauparaha. They don't have enough mana to create their own.

The leader, self designated 'Apostle', Brian Tamaki, has the nickname 'EFTPOSle'.
This refers to a bank run electronic card payment system. 'Electronic Fund Transfer Point of Sale' and the degree to which he extracts funds from his dupes. He is as fake and phony as the day is long. That is my opinion of him.

He has run for Parliament a time or two, I think he gets about 0.5% of the popular vote, if that. He does this shit for the publicity.
