Many Canadians are under the impression that American police are worse than Canadian police. Is the general sentiment of U.S citizens similar?

There has been some shock to know that American police are naive enough to trust the most dishonest of police in Canada. In my opinion it reflects really poorly on Americans in general.

As it were, there is a prevailing belief in Canada that American police and your justice system are more corrupt and abusive than Canadas. I read comments often online and without question, Canadians have a specific view of Americas system and police. One I didn't believe existed but I am starting to think otherwise. I find their allegations really hard to believe because at least you have pro-bono lawyers, police in the U.S and even chiefs are fired and/or re-sign often. In some cases, you even charge police. That NEVER happens in Canada.

We also have Crown Attorneys and lawyers who work to undermine the accused to assist the police, purely on their word, loyal, little rats who want business from the police in the future. We have demented, spiritually weak politicians who declare innocent people guilty, simply because the cops said so and then they are proven wrong and NEVER apologize for almost supporting the ruining of a mans life.

I speak specifically about cowardly Patrick Brown, former Mayor and employee-dater-which-lead-to-his-resignation, John Tory and fake tough guy Doug Ford as examples. They declared a man accused of a crime against police unfit for bail, when it turns out, based on evidence, declarations from the judge and such that the police lied. He lost a great deal of his life with his family due to their abuses.

In short, how are American police viewed in general? Are they men with fortitude in the face of difficult moral decisions or are they mice who love Canadian police because it allows the AMERICAN police to skirt your laws when they work Canadian police?

Are they generally trusted in America as people of character and principle or viewed as lowlife, corrupt, amoeba-like cowards?

I can't think of a reason I would want to go to Canada. Well, maybe to see the polar bears in Churchill or eat the specialties served in Dawson.

But I have no illusions about the Canadian police because I remember when The Mountie was in WWF, electricuting his opponents with a cattle prod.

They are a pretty vicious bunch IMHO.

Fake News bro.

Just so you know, that wasn't real.

They've done evil stuff though, just as Peel Region, OPP and TPS and Durham Region Police have. The question is, "are American police worse than ours"? Your police seem far too comfortable operating with Canadian police and trusting what Canadian tell them.

From the Department of Justice: “84% of police officers have stated in a recent survey that they have directly witnessed a fellow officer using more force than was necessary.” “52% of police officers report that it is not unusual for law enforcement officials to turn a blind eye to the improper conduct of other officers.” “61% of police officers state they do not always report serious abuse that has been directly observed by fellow officers.” 43% of police offers agree with this sentiment: “Always following the rules is not compatible with the need to get their job done.”

“From 2006 to 2012, there were approximately 51,000 emergency department visits per year for patients injured by law enforcement in the United States.”

“On average police kill 1,000 people annually, but less than 2 percent of the police doing the shooting are prosecuted for murder.”

The 2019 Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study published in The Lancet estimated that from 1980-2018, a span of thirty-eight years, that police in the United States killed 30,800 people. During the same period, the study estimated that police killed 293,000 people worldwide. The study found that despite the U.S. having only four percent of the global population, American law enforcement was responsible for more than thirteen percent of all police killings on the entire planet.

What about the covert apparatuses of the FBI and other police agencies?

You are about to find out how much we trust Canada. There is a new sheriff in town, and he already showed you what he thinks of Trudeau.
Meh. I said my part to multiple covert police apparatuses who ruined our civil liberties, innovation and free market principles. As far back as 2003 I reached out, I started reaching out to the U.S and Canadian authorities at the highest level in 2005.

Whatever Obama, Biden or Trump propose in terms of policies is not because of men like me. This is way beyond my pay grade but not beyond my comprehension and capabilities. In certain systems there is a drastic difference between the two.

It seems that Canadians have a multi-faceted interest in the US, which is simply not reciprocated.

Our system is getting a much-needed overhaul. You might suggest the same for the citizens of Canada, to take matters into your own hands.

Except your police agencies blindly believe what the average citizen and our courts would throw out. Just a few months ago a man was almost put behind bars for life and multiple police lied, took the stand, colluded to make the same notes and if not for an obscure camera in an underground parking lot this man would be behind bars for at LEAST 25 years.

It's beyond sick. It can't be normal to be so evil as to destroy people. The reason they can do so? There are ZERO consequences. At least not in this world...

If you or I lie under oath what would be the consequence?

We're the worse of the two when it comes to altered legal court matters for sure. We've put to death innocent people throughout our history.

I wouldn't lie under oath. You have a right to not self incriminate. Lying for others is a fool's errand.
