Sent my 20 year old boots to the only authorized cobbler Lowa uses in the USA
they did a great job in less than a week
new sole, after 20 years that type of rubber just gets weak and shatters
New sole is an updated formla
uppers are like new [thanks to Obenhauf's [geat stuff, designed/made by a firefighter in Idaho]

repaired for less than 1/2 what this boot goes for new

already broken in......full glove leather lining is like your hand in a leather glove

most comfy pair of any footwear I've ever had, downfall they are hiking boots and heavy

Made In Germany, the quality is awesome, don't expect to ever need to buy another pair

Not something you generally go shopping in but I have and was not that bad

Just like every other single thing made in Germany I've ever seen or owned. Like the industry standard.

What does footgear have to do with shopping? Do they make special shopping shoes or something? :dunno:

Those look like some quality boots. I would shop in them.

they are heavy and not designed for concrete but soil and rock terrain at incline
not the best footwear for shopping and waking even though
they fit like glove, I've done it before for 45 minute and they were great
would I wear these for an 8 hour shift, not at all, wrong shoe

and yes they are quality boots, lowa makes moutaineering pro boots that cost $900+
