Loading pictures

I could use some help on loading pictures . I am still using an XP computer ,I used to just plug in my camera click a few times and bingo I had a new file. Now when I plug my camera in I get a message that it can't find my device. I went to the add new device menue but it doesn't list my camera[polaroid] . Any help would be great . thanks Farmer

I think you should have a search for new hardware device tab? That's how I've always added printers, etc. I don't have the same computer as you though.
