More importantly, is the House of Representatives, which is based on census data, the more people, the more representatives in a state. At this point it includes illegals, although that may change by the time the 2030 census rolls around.

In some swing states the number of illegal voters who actually vote could make a difference. We'll never know if that has happened already or might down the road, but I think it could be possible.

The majority of people like to feel like they are a good person, morally upright and as well a part of something larger than themselves.
Religion use to fill that need. People went to church, felt good about that, believed they were more moral and better person than those that don't - another thing people like to feel. That you are better than others.
Buuut - religion is practically gone. And certainly gone in the left leaning world. So they instinctively replace it with their own "religion" and to feel morally superior. This is the absolute foundation of leftism. Virtue signaling. Religious people use to do it all the time. So they became what they hate. If Minnesota and Minneapolis don't want ICE there, why does the Federal gov't insist on going there? No sane person wants criminals to remain in the US but a kid who was brought here as a baby years ago is a different matter.
